Tuesday Inspiration - Lucky 8 Punches

Today i am so excited to share with you this new tool that i have been crossing my fingers that it would be bought to Papermarket the minute my eyes set sight on it. Seen and heard so much about it and i think it is simply the most awesome tool to have. Lol i have not mention what is it yet ok its the Lucky 8 punches from WRMK.

Not only does it comes in the above designed it comes in 5 MORE different design, can you imagin every puncher gives 3 different punch image so that would be like 18 different punch design, how i wish i own all 6 of them.

Look at all the pretty designs! So how does it works many of you would ask.

First of all aline and punch all 4 sides of the paper with the punches, then turn the paper around and do the same on all 4 sides. Look how detailed and pretty it is!

and the final product is

The best thing is that not only the final product is pretty, the left overs can also be useful as well.

Recently Papercrafts Magazine has this great book on Practical Solutions for Paper Crafters and Moxie Fab have been showing a few great ideas on how to DIY Embellishments, Paper Scraps and using Snippets from Household items. You can check it out Here.

This week they are having a Practical Solutions for Papercrafters week-long Celebration so here i am reading all the post and thinking about the blogpost and so i thought hey the tiny flowers can be used to make a card, and with the recent trend of Confettis this would make a great centerpiece.

The next thing that I will show you is a great tip to make the most outta your patten paper, see my layout that i've created this week you can actually use the punch out from the corners. Look carefully below the photo. So next time before throwing away the left overs think about how to reuse them ;)

The picture above is my niece after eating an egg tart and i love the expression she has on her face. All smiley and happy after a satisfying dessert.

Fussy cut and layered the flowers from the K and Company Watercolor Bouquet collection. Can you spot the Melissa Frances embellishment? Cant wait for her to arrive in April to meet her!

So hurry down to Papermarket to grab those Lucky 8 punches before they are sold out!

This layout is submitted for Dont Throw it Away Challenge in the Moxie Fab World ;) so play along.

Have a Creative week ahead!

Happy Birthday - Sketch 157

Today i am playing along with Card Pattern sketch and i really liked this sketch as recently flags have been seen so much around. Have wanted to create a layout or a card using flags and this is just perfect.

For the center piece i have dry embossed the diecut although it is not clear from the photo.

Here is my take on the sketch.

For my card i have chose to use Prima pattern paper and stamps from Papertrey ink.

Have a great weekend ahead!

Tuesday Inspiration

Hello people how have your week begin? Its Tuesday again and how time flies as always, its already the 3rd week of March.

This week i will be sharing another layout using the same pack of CHA goodies from My Little Shoebox and i must say i really enjoy playing with the papers and flowers.

Choose to use the Diecut flower sheet as my background for my layout and also adding the ready made flower diecuts to create the flower next to picture. My nieces love to wear the same outfit and do the same things together and its really sweet so the title of my layout is "Everyday Me n You".

What i really like is the sticker sheet that is provided, the bird, tree branch, fonts and hearts are all included and it makes it really easy to just put everything together for a quick layout. Colors are also very bright and happy which is perfect for making layouts for kids.

So hurry down to Papermarket to grab one of these kits before they are all gone! Have a Creative week ahead!

Colorful Confections

This week at The Shabby Tea Room the theme is Colorful Confections and i loved playing along with the inspirational board!

Don't you love what you're seeing the colors are just bursting with happiness! This week challenge is to use Pink, Green, Aqua and a Tag.

This is my take on the challenge using Papertrey Ink Friendship Jar Stamp and it comes with a tag just right for the theme.

A close look at the handmade seam binding.

and lastly i have always wanted to try this technique of a diecut within a diecut erm i know this sounds confusing but it simply means to diecut twice on the same object. Sometime ago i think papertrey ink had a tutorial on it and if i can find it i will link it up. This actually optimize the use of the dies we have and in addition create something new.  What i have done below is to use the Jar die and cut a window within it using another die.

Fill up the window with lotsa pink buttons, makes me happy looking at them :)

Have a creative week ahead!

Navy Blue Challenge!

Navy blue has gotta to be the next IN Thing this season or perhaps it has just that i never realise that i could actually create a card using NAVY blue as i am such a pink person.

Today i am joining The Shabby Tea Room Challenge to be inspired by this photo below using the colors Navy blue and Neutrals.

and also Cure for the Winter Blues Challenge in the Moxie Fab World challenge HERE

So this is what i came up with

The chipboards are from Pink Paislee and using distressing ink from Tim Holtz to make it more shabby looking.

Love how photos inspires us in one way or another!
