Celebration!

Listening to the radio while typing this post and i cant help thinking about American Tales the cartoon that i must have watch over and over again till i lost track haha.. i cant help but to share the lyrics here because its just so beautiful and meaningful!

Somewhere out there beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of me and loving me tonight

Somewhere out there someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another in that big somewhere out there

And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star

And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky

Back to more Scrapbooking! This month at Papermarket we were given the assignment to do a Layout that is Colorful!

This is what i have came out with and i am in love with the Pink Paislee Soiree collection! Happy and fun as well as colorful!

This photo is taken at the Zoo with my nieces to celebrate her birthday, ain't they cute!

My Life is So Beautiful because You are in it..

Its time once again for Prima June BAP! really enjoy the sketches and what makes me wanting to participate each time is that i will dig thru my stash of Prima goodies and used them instead of collecting them.

Here is the June Sketch which i have used.

This has to be one of my favourite collection from Prima, the Shabby Chic Collection ~ Grape Twilight. Remember walking into my LSS and was paying up for some items and the lady was telling me how beautiful this collection was and why have i not bought them. Luckily i U-turn and headed back to the shelves if not i would have almost missed these pretty papers. But sadly i only manage to grab a few pieces and they were all gone. Enough said here is what i have done below.

The title is stamped on a transparent sheet from one of the packages. Although it cannot be really seen in the pictures it writes ~ My Life have been So Beautiful because You are in it.

A closer look on the beautiful Prima flowers and can you see the roses on the papers its just so dreamy. The birds and butterflies are from Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden collection.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Daily Inspiration

Hello to all and how have your day been? Today is my turn for Daily Inspiration at Laines / Papermarket.

Remember my last post on the paper ribbons this is another great idea for Weddings.

Lets get started with what i will be showing today all with a handmade "angpow" (Traditional Red packet given to the wedding couple with a monetary token) and card combo.

First i made an envelop using Crate paper's restoration papers i like the vintage feeling it gives and hand cut the flower from the papers to make a seal.

To highlight the flower center i have included some shiny pearl center . Hand cut some boarders from the papers and aligned it to the center of the envelop.

For the card it was easy peasy as the papers came with playing-card like patters i cut out one of the cards and adhere it to another hand cut circle.

To decorate it the card i added chipboards from Maya road which i have misted using Tattered Angels Black magic and am loving the effect cos it kinda of gives it a shiny black with gold bits although its not very clear on the picture. Place the chipboards in between a heart that was already on the card included a half garland and sentiment and its all done!

Simple and fun project for the newly wedded couple so try it! Definitely enjoyed making it as it was filled with yummy chipboards and misting.

All supplies are available from Papermarket and Laines!

Just Try it - Paper Ribbons

Hello to all,  today what I will be sharing will be on how to  maximise the use of all those punches that we have been faithfully "collecting". Punches are great  My favourite next to anything butterflies would be punches. i understand that it can be so addictive to see  new punches every now and then and you simply have to get your hands on it.

Since June is a month of wedding and birthdays, and I would love to give my friends some handmade cards or gifts for that personal touch which seems to be a dying trend with the popularity of the Internet.

This is what i have made using a card case holder and misted paper ribbons using the MS boarder punches.

First of all I covered a name card holder box which I have previously kept with Crafty Secrets Classic Paper collection. After which i decorated the box with the ribbon that i have made using the punchers and handmade flowers and a tag to go along.

You can see the original transparent card holder above and 2 of my favourite Martha Steward punches. Have decided today to only use the one on the left today, probably will show in another post how to use the other punches which creates the prettiest decorated boxes.

Tips: Use printers paper (normally what we use for printing our documents) as it is thinner and much easier to fold around the box. On top of it since it is white we can make the paper ribbons in any color we want by using any brand of mist we have at home.
Have chosen to work with Tattered Angels mist and you can see from the picture how well the paper ribbons have immersed in the blue.

Hopefully after reading this you would not look at the boarder punches the same way and used it as many ways as possible making the most out of it.
